JOB DESCRIPTION
A buy-side firm looking to expand their presence in Asia is looking to hire someone for a trade support role who can immediately add value to the team. They are a globally-positioned, proprietary trading firm that have become an industry leader.
This role will consist of monitoring trading systems and exchange/venues whilst solving complex problems that require both technical and business understanding. The Client is looking for a candidate that can Interact directly with traders to troubleshoot problems identifying and responding to emergency situations. They will be expected to collaborate with Risk Management and Technical Services for production support and cooperate with System Administrators to assist with forecasting system utilization. There will also be an element of author process and procedure documentation and deep dive analysis whilst providing second level support and mentoring to other trade desk analysts. This differs from support roles at other firms due to the close interaction with the traders and the chances for quick career progression for outstanding people. This is a very active, fantastic opportunity in a well known and very well established Buy-side house.
REQUIRED:
Between 2-5 years experience: - With TCP/IP networking in a Linux or Unix environment - Administering proprietary applications in a Linux / Windows environment - Supporting proprietary developed applications - Scripting Python - With IT/ Application support working in financial services or electronic trading environment. - Knowledge of financial terminology - Bachelors Degree
